I love the fall!!

The air is getting crisper and the colors are popping again. Sacramento summers have a way of bleaching the color out of much of the plant life (and people life) around here. I guess we're known as the "City of Trees" and in the fall our little city looks really nice. Plus...I get tons of leaves to start next year's compost...

O.k...so I turned 30 and I survived.

Actually the extended b-day weekend started off last Thursday with an unexpectedly easy Anatomy & Physiology exam which I had killed myself studying for. I was stressed to the tip top and needed a vacation more than anything.

I didn't plan well for this trip and we forgot all kinds of stuff, but as we pulled out of...

OOOH WEEEEE! That sounds like a good time! I'm not a very good camper. I am so allergic to bugbites, plus I have terrible B.O. and require showering. wink

Oh god. Food. Sugar. I feel like I am cursed with whatever Tim Allen had in The Santa Clause, when he only ate things like cookies and muffins.
sinovia:
aw blush

so, you two are visiting next spring/summer, right?
i hardly think that's soon enough!

I read on one of the boards that at age 19 girls are changing their mind by the minute about what they want to do, who they want to be etc...

I thought I knew exactly what I was doing at 19.

3 days to go to 30, and I'm not quite sure anymore.

I can't wait to get to the ocean. By this time...

I don't think I've ever really known what I wanted to do, but now as I'm older, it just even THAT more important to make the right choices. AHHH!!!!
sinovia:
that's right, the older you get the more you realize that you don't know anything at all surreal

Just checked out your courgettes's... they were massive. Mine got out of hand a bit too. They just kept growing. (Sighs- at last someone I can talk to about gardening! )

Have a good gerbera day

Wow...I just googled "Turning 30" for fun to see if I could find something funny and lighthearted to throw in here as I edge eerily closer to my birthday. 60,400,000 results...

One of the first articles
states that "by your 30th birthday you should have experienced one or all of the following: parachuting, threesomes, living in a foreign country, abseiling, bondage, motorcycling, shagging on your...

Happy birthday.

I was just telling a friend of mine, earlier, "life begins at 30." Just 'cause I like to think that anything I do before then won't ultimately count.

Well, here's hoping you get to fulfill any of the exciting things on your to-do list that you want to get done sooner rather than later . . .

Guilty pleasure...

So, for years Chalko has had friends over to watch Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and I usually spend my time smoking with the girls and talking (what I love best). Well...every once in a while a fight grabs my attention. This is my journal entry to honor manly men. The gladiators who fight rough and get bloody and keep smiling. I...

wow.

I just met someone tonight who works for this anti-domestic violence organization, and she told me this same story. The woman who got stabbed to death? was a client at her work.

Check out the link on Chalko's journal. Good groove and hilarious hack job of a martial arts film.

I'm quite humbled this evening, reaping a similar heartbreak that I have been known to sow. I think there can be nothing worse than expectations that go unfulfilled. (I need to learn to walk without expectations)

The yuppy chinese takeout bag I've recycled to ripen nectarines...

You crazy girl. I'm humbled by your smartness and willingness to better yourself.

I'd love to take you to buy a new pair of boots. It'll give me another chance to put a smile on your face. Your smile drives me crazy!!! kiss
