So the local newspaper ran my picture on the front page. Like HUGE. It was the front page. Basically.
This one.

I'm pretty pleased for this of course.
I do have a gripe though.
Trouble is, that day when I got off the boat I was in a hurry to leave for a dinner engagement and just showed them around and gave them to my boss to submit to all the local rags, the AP, the Weather Channel, etc.
I really didn't care that much even about the credit. I don't even know if any other outlets picked it up but when the Citizen used it for their front page they gave the credit to my boss. I'm pretty sure it's the papers fault and not my boss. They've published more than a couple of my photos and I don't think ever gotten my name right. And really, it's not very hard.
He called them and the next day they printed a correction but they misspelled my name.
Niiice. Right on par.
Now, not getting credit at all, or having it attributed to the company name ( which I totally expected ) would be one thing. Having it credited to someone else entirely kind of hurts.
I was kind of excited to throw that in with fathers day gifts for dad.
Oh well.
Anyway, as I mentioned the newspaper confirmed that it was unusually large, and although I mentioned they are relatively common here in the summer time, I had no idea, there are around 400-600 waterspouts confirmed here every summer.
Then come the hurricanes.
WEEeeeeeeeeeeeee !

Guess you have bigger problems to worry about like wind funnels and being in Iran.
