back to work tomorrow after two days off in a row, it'll be nice to get back to it.
ear x-tacy has lost it's appeal for me, they have that big Indie section but that section definantly has a slant towards a certain kind of indie music. They've got all this shit like Bright Eyes and all these bands with stupid names but only two Oblivians albums and no '68 Comeback. They carry all these Vagrant Records and Saddlecreek comps but no Sympathy For The Record Industry stuff
I remember a few years ago when I was more wide-eyed about the place and I just knew they'd have the Gories albums but alas I was mistaken and I had to special order them as is becoming the norm. for me around there. Basically that store appeals to the Pitchfork Media crowd and I belong in the Garagepunk gang.
Better Days is shutting down, I stopped in yesterday and got 5 cds for 30 bucks and finally found a copy of one of Jack Oblivian's solo albums that I've been searching high and low for. Shame that it's going under and there's only gonna be one record store in town.
