Good news and good times ahead! My band THE A.K.A.s are recording in NYC this Fall with Alex Newport (AtTheDriveIn/MarsVolta/ Melvins/ MeFirst&TheGimmeGimmes...etc) and then planning the worldwide release of the new album.(finally! 
)
You know what that means? NON-STOP TOURING! Starting with a 6-week US tour starting in late October and then going overseas, Canada, the US, overseas, and then Warped Tour next summer. I can't wait to get back on the road and rocking the drums as much as possible. That's where it's at.

The downside to touring and SG is that the new format doesn't work on the Sidekick. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it just a big scheme to try to get all SG Sidekick peeps to buy Iphones? If I can't get SG on the road that would be lame!
Did I mention I'm single again? Yeah. Sad but true, but what can you do?
I guess it all works out because the girl I was dating (Apple )was being a bit different out of the blue. Something had changed. I'd been busy with the band and work and preparing for everything coming up. I was stressed and expressed that it might effect the relationship in the future. I then found out about a different dude who was "just an old friend" (of course!) she'd been hanging out with is instantly and ironically the brand new boyfriend (shocking coincidence?). They were "married" on myspace a few days after our split and my photos were suddenly replaced. Wow. According to her "everyone feels bad for you. They say if they ended up like you by the time they were your age they'd kill themselves." I guess her friends don't enjoy the adventure of being in a good, hard working band(with a song on the SG DVD I might add), using their natural talent to follow their heart and dreams, quitting their day jobs, touring the world, living life to the fullest, and having girls like her want to date them. Funny- that sounds pretty good to me! I'm fairly certain it's because I'd been voicing concern that since I'd be touring and really busy for the next year things might be difficult or might or not work out, I backed off a bit to see how space would effect things and I found out the hard way. Whatever is it was, I guess her defense mechanisms went off to cover her insecurities, It made her feel better to attempt to belittle me, but it's at a time when my things are getting extremely awesome. and exiciting. Of course now she claims her friends also say I'm an "ugly guy with dyed black hair and a rat tail and a dead-end job". So suddenly I'm ugly and a loser? How do you like that? haha. The thing is, she knows very well that I had a "real job and normal life" back in Minneapolis that I walked away from to join The A.K.A.s and she knew that and admired it, I left the easy and safe route to pursue the dangers of rock & roll. I gotta do it while I still have great hair and females like how I look in tight pants!!! 
That's that.
I guess that's how it goes, huh? The fine line between love and hate? Hopefully the negativity will settle and everything will result in kindness and respect.
I'm sure there are other fish in the sea. What do you think ladies?
