I took off a bunch of time this week. Wensday me and a bunh of my buddies went up to the track for some racing. For those of you who speak car, heres my numbers:
14.495 @ 98.06 mph w/ 2.14 60'.
That was my best for the entire night. That track conditions were great! It wasnt to busy so we got four runs in and the winter was cool, about 67 degrees. I figure i had a pretty good base time to start with. I just ordered a bunch of parts so im looking forward to gettin back to the track in a couple months and seeing my improvements.
The only day I worked this week was thursday, and what a thursday it was. it was only an eight hour day, but as soon as i went in service we get a signal 54. Now i dont expect anyone to know what a signal 54 is, which is kinda funny considering i didnt even remember what a signal 54 was when it came in. So as im standing there loading up my car my Lt. comes flying out of the building and says he needs me to get movin, we have a Sig 54, PLANE CRASH!. "Oh", i think to myself, "thats a sig 54- shit." So i go screaming to the scene and got to take up a point on the perimeter. Im not gonna get into the details but the folks in the plane didnt make it.
Later on in the day in the pouring rain I got a call for an elopement for a local hospital. 17 yr old kid who tryed to OD on cough syrup. I was told that he just stood up and kicked open a locked steel door and ran. I go to the general area that they say the kid ran to and i spot him standing under a tree out of the rain. soon as he sees me he bolts into the wooded area For ten minutes im cruising back and forth trying to locate the kid and do a one man perimeter while i wait for another unit. They finally show up and now im on foot in the wooded area looking for this kid whos tripping balls. then i hear the guy in the other unit yelling to get down on the ground and hes got his taser half pulled out. I jump a little drainage ditch and run up there and get him cuffed.
we got him back to the hospital and they do a two point restraint on him. And then he starts running his mouth, so the doc comes over and looks at me, all rain soaked, and tells the kid that she didnt realize how serious he was and that she felt that due to his actions that she felt he was on some other form of drug. so Doc decided that he needed to have his stomach pumped.
thanks Doc!
The little bastard wasnt so mouthy after he had about 2 feet of tubing shoved down his throat and 3 liters of fluid and charcoal run thru his gullet.
Ah, just another day at the office.

Sorry, didn't call this morning, we had a few too many yesterday and I felt really lazy... So, is the movie any good?
Growing old, kid.
