welly, welly, welly, welly well.
Looks like I passed my german examination after all--which is how it ought to be. If my german is good enough to read heidegger it's damn well good enough, I say!
so thats the good news.
the bad news is Im not going on my dig in the roman forum this summer cos I need to take intensive greek
also, bad news is im taking my PHd exam may 11.
2 months and 1 day until I have to know everything about everything
Im filled with ennui as of late. I need excitement. that excitement will be in the form of one Owen S. Caliento aka "handsome owen" , who I will be motherfuckin tearin up NYC (and fairfield CT) with!
In summation, for those about to rock ...we salute you

Oh, since you seem to be one of the few people that would apreciate this: Last year I got to touch a page of one of the original Gutenberg Bibles!!! I am such a nerd!
PS I'm pretty damn sure I saw you at the Milky Way Friday night. That hair of yours is pretty hard to miss! I'm sure I did a double take and then continued to stare obviously.
Anyway, I'm off to the gym for my daily fix.
I wouldn't say you are wierd looking at all. I'm pretty good at spotting people. It's one of those aquired shy/nerd skills. I was standing in the front on the right wearing a red 3/4 length sleave shirt. I turned around at some point and there you were right behind me.
I'm thinking of checking out Eli again when he's in Providence on Saturday.
