Soooo, I finally made it as a staff photographer for the site and today my 5th Set Of The Day is on the Front Page with my cutie babe @EUPHORIASIS.
It took me YEARS to get here and I am glad I held on, because it finally led me to this new status I so hoped for. I'm so glad I had 2 sets selected this month!
I really feel proud to "have pinked" the gorgeous @vehera.. She's so breathtaking...
When I first started shooting pictures for SG sets, I was more than crap at holding a camera, trust me, I'm not being mean to myself by saying this. I still have my very first sets on CDs somewhere at home, but I feel too ashamed to show you! haha... Maybe some of you do remember the terrible attempts I did, even given the most gorgeous ladies of the website, like @Venla,@Ambiome,@Tragique, or the beautiful hopeful @Cendres... (this is NOT an exhaustive list!) I would still make sets not up to the SG standards.
So yeah, I was crap at shooting SG pics!
(I am not saying that I am now an exceptionnal photographer, I still have billions of things to learn! Please don't misunderstand me...)
I never totally gave up, and I kept working hard to get better. Sometimes, I was feeling so frustrated that I would get angry and would promise to myself to never ever shoot a set for the site anymore. But my dream was still appealing and my love for boobs always ended up winning. So I started again. Then stopped again, frustrated again, then started again. It went on and off for a few years.
I never stopped shooting though, so I did work a lot fot various projects outside SG, which help me to improve as well. I never went to a photography school, I learnt from practicing, studying photographers' work I admire and listening to all the feedback and advice I've been given.
I got my first set selected as set of the day in March 2011. I had the pleasure to meet and shoot @Higgs, an extremely cute american hopeful back then, who used to live in Belgium. We shot in my speech therapist office (yes, I'm also a speech therapist). I will never forget the joy I felt back then :)
I was lucky enough to make awesome friends on the site, and among them, the so talented @P_mod, who used to be an SG staff photographer and is still one of my fav photographer ever. He's been more than generous in giving me advice and teaching so many stuff about portrait photography and nude photography. I think I can never thank him enough for all his kindness (oui P_mod, si tu lis ça, c'est de la guimauve pure et j'en n'ai rien à battre, j'assume^^).
The second set I got selected was shot with the camera I had just bought from P_mod.
I also want to thank the litlle cutie pie @Jupiter who gave me quite a lot of tips as well and who's always been there to encourage me. She even had enough trust in me to pose for me a few years ago, and it turned great since our set got accepted as SOTD, just when she became a staff photographer herself.
I also want to thank all the models who worked with me. I hope to work with many more all around the world in the upcoming years!
