OK ok, I think I need a new job. For those of you who don't know, I'm a photographer at a small local studio. Christmastime SUCKS for me at work right now because all of these wicked picky people are bringing in their germ-infested little nosepickers (normally I love kids but I'm sick of seeing them right now) and they take up way too much of my time fussing around with clothing and hair. Because I'm exposed to so many more kids than I usually am, I've been fighting a cold for a couple weeks. I swear, it's so gross. WHY oh WHY do people take their kids to have pictures taken when they are sick/hungry/just woke up/haven't napped yet?????? WHY GOD?? Then the parents get pissed at me because the kids don't smile. How is it my fault if A. The child isn't prone to smiling anyway (which isn't bad, some people just aren't smiley) or B. Their kid isn't in the mood. If little 2 year old Susie is in a rebellious mood and isn't going to smile despite my best efforts, there is SO nothing I can do about it. If the kid is going to say no to Mom or Dad they sure as hell are going to say no to me, the complete stranger. Grrrr. If I make it through this season alive and haven't killed anyone, it'll be a blessing

I don't blame you kids suck no matter what your job is. I fucking hate a good portion of the kids that come to the pool for swim lessons. Especially in the summer because they have been pent up at a daycare all day and feel like being punks when they get out.
