So this week I've had two songs stuck in my hair. The first one has THE BEST beginning ever.
I know right? And THAT HAIR! You know a song is catchy when the words going through your head are "Ooga Chucka Ooga Ooga Ooga Chucka" which just makes me want to see Guardians of the Galaxy right bloody now. I've not actually been a fan of this song for very long, but it's about as catchy as centerfold... Sigh... Well now it needs to be done... Get ready for some bad dancing.
Got that out of my system. Back on track (hahaha like this train has a track!) The next song is possibly one of the most lyrically brilliant I've ever heard and I cannot get enough of listening to it. It's a song that perfectly reminds me why music is what I lean on to get me through the day, and it doesn't help that this song is a perfect reflection of my job day in and day out. Ugh, and that harmonica solo? Beautiful, haunting, melodic. That shit torments me until I'm skipping back ten times to hear it all over and over again, and don't even get me started on the rapping. Seriously. Don't. Just... Just watch... Shhhh... Watch
Three songs on my second post... This is getting out of hand quick... So another song I haven't been able to get out of my head and from one of the bands I grew up on when first jumping into metal, the 69 eyes are a band that live and breathe the phrase "Sex, drugs, and rock & roll". Literally... I'm pretty sure the singer was trying to honestly mate with the microphone when I saw them... Well every time I saw them... If they have a more obvious song saying "Let's stay up late, throw our innocence out the window and do horrible, wonderful, immaculate things to each under under the light of the full moon until the sun comes up"... Whoo I got a little excited there... Well this is it... have a fun listen.
It's actually just about vampires, but oh come on, this song has sex in every lyric and syllable and there's no other song I'd rather ravage someone to.
I'm still trying to figure out what I can do on my other days of the week, so ideas are always appreciated.
