A co-worker and I began to reminisce about a radio station, I loved.... God bless its soul. 97x. A couple of years ago they decided to go off the air.
I remember the sign off night. I felt like I lost several years of my life. 97x was how I was introduced to the alternative world. The only station that would play local bands. Such as Da Lemmings Onsomble (great band if you enjoy jazz funk.)
The good news is SG's radio is the closest I have found to 97x. All the music I love is back on the radio. I may not be able to enjoy in the car but I have it at home. So rest in peace 97x... my heart is still belongs to you.
