i'm not actually with telstra but seeing as they own all those copper wires and the exchanges you have to deal with them by default, though not directly.. my isp is exetel and they are awesome however no matter what isp you choose in australia telstra has to be involved in putting the adsl codes on your phone line.. bunch of assholes..

anyways, good to see some words from you, hope all is well at home and that works not hurting you too much..
