Today is September 11th. I didn't realise that... Or, I just didn't think about it.
Downtown was pretty dead. Everyone avoids it beause it's September 11th and they're scared for some reason.
Me? I got up, got dressed, took the subway to work, worked, wondered why it was so dead for a Saturday, realised it was Sept. 11th and people are idiotic sheep.
Comeon...

Call me a Nihon-Dork, but I refuse to watch any Japanese remakes, NOW they're doing a remake of Ju On, with Buffy the Vampire Slayer in it? How does that work.... AM. Cinema is so "STAR-BASED" is she going to die, ever???

I mean, now Gozu, and Hero (Chinese not Japanese), and Zatooichi, are all getting theatrical debuts in America, what some 1-2 years after being in Japan.

And I'll tell you something Ju On wasn't exactly a blockbuster, it had a limited run garned some 'surprise success' and then went to video, Ju On 2 went straight to video.

All I watch are Japanese films, mostly... it's so bad that I start bitching out the translation. smile

Well, I mean, I won't say Japanese cinema isn't star based, but at least their stars die sometimes. wink
