is anyone else worried that the internet will ultimately become privatized to the point where it's unaccessable to the general public as a form of expression in the same way the media in general has? bandwidth is already far more 'valuable' than it should be. what if it gets worse? what if they tell us there's a bandwidth 'shortage' in the same way there was an oil 'shortage' or an energy 'shortage'? it is a fluid-like commodity, isn't it?
which also brings me to wondering if they'll ever tell us there's a food 'shortage'...
