On Saturday, an undisclosed sum of money went missing from my little branch of Starbucks. On tuesday, I had to give a witness statement detailing my activities on that shift. And today, we had a Starbucks-employed psychologist interview each of us and try to BREAK OUR MINDS.
The way he was posing questions, all hypothetical and reverse psychology stylee. Trying to make me confess to something I haven't done, but he was adamant I MUST KNOW SOMETHING. It's mentally exhausting when they get someone doing a headjob on you, and it makes me question Starbucks policy as a whole. Sure, they tried to keep it internal but his mind games were a little intense for a humble barista.
I hate the fact that my fellow employees have been brought into question, I trust each and every one of them, and i've built a good rapport with them. Now there's these little niggling doubts, who took the money, who thinks I took the money. Not pleasant.
And to top it off, the sales started today and we were rammed from opening to closing.
I am jack's mental and physical exhaustion.
