Anyone know a good way to learn japanese?
Of all the languages in the world I could have picked, i've decided to learn japanese. It's probably the impact their lifestyle has had on me (manga/games/music). Plus i'd love to visit japan one day, kick ass country. But the lingo sounds difficult, apparently if I say something with the wrong type of respect or not enough respect, I could deeply offend them. I have visions of me asking a policeman for directions and getting incarcerated for being disrespectful...
Good. I like a challenge. And then i'll be able to watch Battle Royale with the subtitles OFF. Yay me!

I protested that getting a Japanese girlfriend was easier said than done, and she countered that, really, it's not. All you've got to do is 1) identify a girl as Japanese; and 2) ask.
I have no idea how much truth is in that. I have, however, taken the first step several times around campus.
