I have tired of getting angry about stuff. So, positivity is now officially IN. Happy happy joy joy. skull

Have you ever sat in a room as it's getting dark and noticed how the shadows stretch and skew, how different the room looks, like it's undergoing a metamorphosis, a metamorphosis that happens everyday but for the mostpart goes unnoticed. You could apply the same principle to...

I came close to having a mental breakdown today. There's a horrible atmosphere at work due to the money being stolen and it's making it impossible to function properly. Everything just came down on top of me, any small concern I had became a crisis and there was too much to think about at once. I've not had 7 consecutive days off for over two...

I say go for it! The only way to find out how much interest there'll be is to post it and see what happens...As for how it should be done, that's up to you - my system works pretty well, I think, because it keeps bad things from happening - If someone promises to send in a mix then doesn't, no big deal. All mixes are marked, so you know who sent what. So good luck to you. smile
mora:
oh my, you do need a break. take time off darlin, you deserve it.

i've been thinking about piano more, i have access to it and i think it's so beautiful. i don't know though. it's all very up in the air.

Yesterday I became vegetarian. A few contributing factors I suppose, but the main reason being just to see if I can do it. I did a similar thing with alcohol a year ago and I haven't touched a drop since. I'm trying to phase out all the stuff that might fuck me up later on in life. This is as long-term as my thinking gets......

On Saturday, an undisclosed sum of money went missing from my little branch of Starbucks. On tuesday, I had to give a witness statement detailing my activities on that shift. And today, we had a Starbucks-employed psychologist interview each of us and try to BREAK OUR MINDS.
The way he was posing questions, all hypothetical and reverse psychology stylee. Trying to make me confess to...

well, this was almost four years ago...so its not like im still suffering from a broken heart. part of the story that i left out, i went to visit her a week or so after she dumped me, and she was in her room with some guy...even though the reason she dumped me was that she "needed to concentrate on school and blahblahblah, i need to be alone right now". oh well, im happy where i am at now, and thats all that matters
mora:
wow, that really sucks. it's weird, that same sort of thing happened when i worked at a coffee shope too. not starbucks, though.

*sigh* another christmas, another day of family rows and going through the motions of watching tv or bumming around all day.
Then I went to work today and was astounded by the amount of people coming in for coffee, why weren't you visiting your relatives you bastards. And to top off the festive period we had some guy complaining about loadsa different stuff, petty stuff,...

It was the starbuck's christmas party last night, much fun. We all met up at the shop and made cocktails using the frappucino blenders (myself discluded, i'm teetotal) and proceeded to get steadily drunk. Then we all headed out to a restaurant where numerous members of the staff professed their undying love towards me (all female, thankfully). First casualty of the nite was sasha, who...

Anyone know a good way to learn japanese?

Of all the languages in the world I could have picked, i've decided to learn japanese. It's probably the impact their lifestyle has had on me (manga/games/music). Plus i'd love to visit japan one day, kick ass country. But the lingo sounds difficult, apparently if I say something with the wrong type of respect or not enough...

I asked that question of my best female friend, and she told me that the best way to learn the language is to get a Japanese girlfriend.

I protested that getting a Japanese girlfriend was easier said than done, and she countered that, really, it's not. All you've got to do is 1) identify a girl as Japanese; and 2) ask.

I have no idea how much truth is in that. I have, however, taken the first step several times around campus.

So today I found myself back in my own little zone at work, possibly lack of sleep, possibly the sheer mundane morning I had. I managed to go outside and sweep the pavement for thirty minutes and still no-one missed me. I love saturdays, we're so overstaffed it's just not funny.

So i set myself menial goals, firstly to try and get the record till...

dude,

you are so hooked on as my friend. not because i know you really well, but you're funny. so in my books - that works. besides, its an easy way for me to jump back here and check out your journal..perhaps it will force me to make my journal that much more interesting. at least one could hope.

ahh boredom. its bad, but is it much worse than working 111 hours in a 7-day week?

So I got a taxi home today because the buses were being overly shit, and the taxi driver decided to strike up conversation. Nice enough to start with, christmas talk n all. But then we started talking bout my job. He seemed to think I was stuck in a dead end because I work full time rather than go to college/uni. He was telling me...

Isn't perception weird? Like how it changes over time....when you see somewhere for the first time, you see it differently from how you would see it in a few months time. If you know what I mean....I think the same goes for people, first impressions and everything. Unfortunately I think this also applies to relationships, because I've noticed that your perceptions of people change depending...

I'm really getting engrossed in this whole major-corporation-exploits-underpaid-and-underskilled-workers thing. It's a reflection of the literature i've been reading of late, i suppose. The only trouble is, it makes me proactive, and overly so, and finding a venting point for these ideas is difficult. Online journals may just be the answer i'm looking for.

For example, tonite i went to Bingo. Bingo is possibly one of...
