I seriously want to invest in some jewlery (particularly rings like the ones Ringo Starr has),
shoes (In the style of David Bowie and classic stripper heels),
garter belts (More like Cherie Currie, not Taylor Momsen)
and nylons (Sedgwick style).
Okay I must admit I did do some black Friday shopping. I bought a dark blue velvet mini-dress at H+M. I have not been to a mall in about two years. I try my best to avoid them but yesterday I just wanted to check out the black Friday madness.
While doing so I guess I sort of became a part of the madness Really I don't find going to a mall as fun. No matter what I just end up spending money because what else do you do at a mall? I mean I dont know how to ask this but how is going to a mall or the mall considered being a fun activity? It's just consumerism, which I know this country is made on consumerism (don't get me wrong, I tend to buy lots of shit that in all honesty I really dont need) but shopping at a mall shouldnt be considered a fun eventful activity
I don't know anyways I've been thinking lately a lot about consumerism and mass production. Weird thing to think about I know but I'm almost done writing this article on Haight Street and the newly passed sit/lie law. I feel as if the city of San Francisco wants to make Haight Street into Rodeo Dr. All the stores on that street are expensive as fuck and now the city is forcing all those people to get off the street and go somewhere else.
I understand that the shops need to make money and Haight thrives off of tourism but what also makes Haight Street, Haight Street are the people you find there sitting and hanging out.
Other then pondering, I went to my friends house for Thanksgiving in Daly City, which was so much fun. Now Im relaxing and studying. Oh here's some more pics of me. I took some public nudes so I'll post some of those pictures later. I get a rush from public nudity. Fun Stuff
It's close, very close to the end and I'm ready for this shit to end (school that is )
So what did everyone do for Thanksgiving?
Much love!
