Have you seen it? What did you think? I've seen it not only once but twice, I watched it last week and made my husband, tween boys, and teenage son watch it with me again the other night. I felt that it had a lot of really good points. Points that I thought I was crazy for voicing out loud until I heard these men and women that worked for these companies say it. The boys weren't thrilled to be watching it because I think they knew my point in making them watch it and since then time limits and restrictions have been placed on their "screen time". If you haven't seen it I would really suggest it. Ironic of me to say since this in may ways is like a social media site but still. I thought it made really good points and put things in a way that even the younger ones could understand. It did spark a discussion in my house, a new tone, a new knowledge if you will for just how "chained down" we have be come to our electronic devices. I know I say it at the end of almost every blog post, have fun, be safe, do what makes you happy. I mean those things. IDK what those things mean to you but for me it's about getting out when I can and living, not being tied down to a computer or phone, but living in the moment, watching my kids grow and play, watching my husband be retarded. All the things I wouldn't see on my facebook feed. Well I'll be honest my husband is pretty retarded on his facebook too but that's besides the point. I just don't want people to become so connected that they in fact become disconnected. There were a few parts and points of course that I didn't agree with, or seemed a little extreme, maybe that was intended to drive the point home. IDK. But it was about 2 hours long and sparked an on again off again conversation between my husband and myself and my kids and myself. Some of the conversation of course is in distaste to the changes that we have made or are implementing, so is in agreeance and a thought of "well this isn't too bad". Either way, it spark a real life conversation in my house hold in stead of everyone staring into the abys of a tiny screen. Anyway, I highly recommend giving it a shot.
