Splendid. A request has been made for an update on my life. The following is a list of things that may be of interest. Happy reading:
-I interviewed for a job this morning. Money would be good.
-The "w" on my keyboard does not work. I currently am copying and pasting the little fuckers into what I type.
-Our duplex neighbors finally mowed the damn lawn. Beings as they get $50 a month knocked off the rent for doing it, you'd think they could get around to it more than once every TWO months.
-I did get a new cat. He replaced the cat that died after two days in my care, as you all may remember. So far Andrew has lived 5 days. Doing well. Except for being manhandled by my kid, who is stylin' in an outfit bought by LyloniJade
-Starbucks has re-introduced their Pumpkin Spice latte for the fall season. Go get one.
-I have been doing a lot of projects here lately. One being stripping paint off of an old toy box my grandfather built, so I can refinish it. But the paint didn't strip at all when I treated the lid yesterday, so I'm not doing very well so far.
Another project is putting up curtains in my kitchen, but it required me to remove the blinds and move them down and this has not been easy. Especially since I refuse to measure.
-The Packers lost on Sunday. Big surprise.
-The Vikings lost on Sunday. Jackasses.
-I recently discovered our local co-op store, Seward Co-op Grocery & Deli in my neighborhood. It's full of natural and organic foods and I believe I will be shopping there from now on. I found these chips made from sweet potatoes and they are fucking amazing.
-I haven't shaved my legs in a week and it's beginning to bother me, especially when I sleep. I just keep forgetting.
-We had our son sketched by a sketch artist who is from Bemidji and it turned out very nice. We also had a caricature done at the state fair last month of the family, and I look nothing like me. And the artist gave Jon my lip mole. WTF.
- I can now recite the entire movie of The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. Sad. Very sad.
-I joined SGTwinCities finally a couple weeks ago and still know no one. Also sad.
-I got a tiny piece of metal from a stripped bolt in my finger last night and for a microscopic puncture wound, that thing really bled.
-The cat has discovered that he can jump up on a few shelves in our basement office and leap onto the ledge of the wall and sit up in the insulation that covers the hole between the two duplex units. One of these days, the neighbors are going to discover a cat in their basement.
-I currently have $3,323.18 in my checking account. This is the most I've had in that account in a friggin' year. But don't get too excited, it's from Jon's financial aid. And $2,000 is going to the in-laws to pay off a loan from them, $750 is going to my parents for the same reason, and $535 has already been sent my check to the landlord to complete the September rent payment.
-I got 7 hours of sleep last night. That's more than I've gotten in one night for a week. Felt good.
That should be enough for conversation. Pictures to accompany the above statements coming soon.
Have a good day.
