Yeah, so I didn't spend yesterday how I wanted to AT ALL.
When I woke up, I discovered that taking a deep breath meant that my chest, neck, back and even my head hurt like hell. My ankles and feet also hurt pretty bad, but I suppose standing for three and a half hours in a mosh pit of drunk, singing concert-goers will do that to a person... I ended up going to vacuum and clean my car (looks fabulous, by the way) and then hanging out at home.
Then, towards the afternoon, I started getting really dizzy. I normally have very low blood pressure, so I blamed this. By this time, it was just me and kiddo at home, so I was stuck feeling like crap and trying to calm a cranky kid. At least when he wasn't crying and complaining about something, he was climbing on the couch with me saying "Help you sleep?" and "Mommy sick." It was the only thing keeping me sane, seriously.
Then the headaches started, followed by body aches, and general weakness. I topped off my evening, with really intense spats of feeling hot then very cold, and back and forth. In fact, my house was 76 degrees and I was wearing a heavy sweatshirt and wrapped in a fleece blanket in the fetal position on my couch. Ew.
I called my mom, who naturally tried doing an over-the-phone diagnosis. She asked if I had a fever, and I said no, because I can usually feel that my face is warm when I have one, and it wasn't warm at all. But she insisted I go take my temperature anyway. And dammit, mom was right. It only took a matter of seconds for me to watch the digital display climb from "L" to 102.4. No wonder I felt gross.
I finally got kiddo to bed around 9:00, and I went to bed immediately after. By that time, I was incredibly warm, and I had turned the central A/C on and set the temperature to 69 and still had to run a fan in my room to be comfortable.
And the icing on the cake? No one called me all friggin' day, and the people I called to talk to never called back. So, I got to feel miserable all alone. Yeah, that was fabulous. I'm a little PO'ed that I texted my dude to tell him I caught my son's "bug" (he was sick this week too), but heard NOTHING from him. Punk ass.

I feel better. For multiple reasons. My fever has been gone as of this afternoon and I had a super, fabulous, hot, amazing, much-needed evening. With someone awesome.
