And my top ten lists of worthy news for the day:
Another loss for the Golden Gophers today, but whatever. I wasn't expecting a win. We're bowl bound anyway, so hell yeah.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is on TV right now. I haven't seen it yet, so that's very cool. You know what else is cool? I bought a scarf 2-3 years ago at the U of M student bookstore and it's maroon and gold striped and looks exactly like the scarves the Gryffindor kids wear. Nice.
We got a babysitter and went out last night. We just went bowling, and with a bunch of "under 21" friends, but it was really, really, fun. It was nice to get out.
Bruegger's Bagels brought back my sandwich! I had been obsessed with the Thai Peanut Chicken Sandwich for the longest time and then they discontinued it. I was there today for my "Mom & Baby" group and saw that they brought it back after much complaint. Yay!
My grandpa's fiance called me today and said that my grandpa planned on me singing at the wedding and she gave me three song ideas and told me she wanted me to sing two. The candidates: "Today" (John Denver), "Grow Old Along with Me" (John Lennon) and "The Rose" (Bette Midler). She thought the idea of doing the Lennon song was kind of ridiculous for a 76 year old and 81 year old, so kind of hinted to me that she wanted me to try the other ones. Funny. Luckily, I already know "The Rose", I've performed it before, so that one should be easy. We also decided on "Today", and I have one week to learn it. Yikes.
I washed and curled my hair Wednesday night to take family holiday pictures and it looked really nice. I took a shower Thursday evening, and yesterday afternoon, but couldn't bear to waste a good hairstyle, as it looked pretty darn good 2 days later. So I shower-capped my head and was really happy I could wear my hair down for two days. I guess I should make an effort more often.
I didn't drink any caffeine today. And somehow I'm still awake at 8:30. Strange.
Our duplex neighbors are really pissing me off. It's a family of a young mom (25-26ish), her boyfriend and their 8 year old daughter. They seem to think that even living in the same building as others still gives them the right to have parties and be loud and annoying and I've just about had enough. I'm going to start chipping paint with the crap I've been throwing at the wall trying to get them to become aware of their noise. I've told them before that Jace goes to bed around 8 and that we can hear everything over there, but it doesn't seem to be something they take into consideration. The family and our landlord are good friends; I'm real close to telling the landlord to forget about receiving any rent money until she can calm her loud, inconsiderate, partying friends (or until she comes to fix everything she said she would fix in JUNE).
I want to be on the "Biggest Loser". I think I could lose weight really easily that way. I'd have good support, good motivation, and that would take away temptation to eat what's convenient rather than what's healthy, AND it would give plenty of access to exercise equipment (which here, would be an assload of $ for a gym membership).
I put up some pretty Christmas lights in my front and side windows. I'm bringing my Christmas tree and stuff back with me when I return to the cities from Wisconsin. I like Christmas decorating, it's way more fun with a youngster in the house.

It wasn't a yelp of pain - it was a whimper that you make when someone does something to you sexually that you like and dislike at the same time.
I didn't mean for it to come out that way but it did.
Also, the 4 Advil helped. I'm such a goober sometimes, LOL.
