Hello SGland! Like the title says life doesn't slow down much. With my work being back on mandatory OT, I have been back to working 56+ hours a week again. I am also in the process of trying to get into a manager position so I can hopefully work less since it would be a weekend night shift. Not thrilled about the weekend nights but I would only be working 36 hours with better pay. Now what I have been up to besides work crap. I had my 20 year High School reunion a few weeks ago, it was wonderful reconnecting with old friends. What was even a cooler experience for me was a lot of people made the comment. "I didn't recognize you until I heard you say your name. This was a confidence boost because in HS I was the scrawny nerdy kid that was quiet. Here is a picture for reference of how I use to look at 17
Now while I am still nerdy and fully embrace that with zero shame. As most of you that have read my other blogs or seen my pictures know I don't look like that any more not even close. I am still putting in the work at the gym since my goal is at age 40 so in 2 years. I want to enter a bodybuilding competition, now I have zero intention of winning but I just want the experience of saying I did that and I worked hard to get there.
Aside from work and gym life I have been staying busy with helping my parents with random things since they are getting on the older end and are becoming less capable. This has been hard to watch honestly but I love the fact I am so close and able to help them out when they really need my help. I have my wonderful pets at home that still have a large part of my heart. (I love animals) Zoey is a lovable dog, Luna is a butthead still of a cat but aren't most cats a bit of a butthead? Lastly my corn snake Oliver, for a while there I was afraid he died since I had not really seen him in about 3 weeks. I had to dig around his tank to find him since corn snakes like to burrow. Found him and he is just fine he was in a shed so he was low energy hiding until he shed. First pic is Zoey and trigger warning for those that don't like snake Oliver is next. Luna never sits still long enough to get a good photo and hates to be held.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog I appreciate this community a lot even though I don't get a lot of time to really be on the site. Right now I am enjoying a day off while preparing a food things for later for I have a few neighbors wanting to learn the art of smoking/cooking foods on a smoker. Aside from that I am more waiting for next week to come along for a game I have been waiting for, for quite a while is coming out. Starfield! Is anyone excited about that game or what are you looking forward too?
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Love you all!
