Hello SGLand, I am sorry I haven't been as active lately. Life has a funny way of hitting all at once. For starters this is not a pity me post just sharing my life with this wonderful community. My last living grandparent has passed from this life onto the next he lived to a very respectable age of 98. He meant the world to me.
This is the last photo that I took with him before he passed. We were very close and we loved to talk with each other. My father gave me the biggest honor ever when he asked me if I would be willing to dedicate this gravesite. I was floored that he asked me to do this, and while emotionally it was hard to do. I felt peace and was able to do the dedication without an issue. I almost lost it because right before I did the dedication. The navy was there because my grandfather is was a retired navy veteran, and they played Taps right before it was my turn.
The same day of the funeral my beloved car of 17 years finally gave out on me. I knew it was time to replace it and I was fully going to replace it at the start of the new year. Life is funny though and likes to throw curve balls at us. I had the distinct feeling it would have died and left me stranded somewhere and I just knew I had to replace it right then.
Luck be it though before the I had to leave for the funeral I found a vehicle that peaked my interest. When I was leaving the funeral I had zero intention of stopping at the dealership, but I got a feeling that I needed to stop right then and there so I stopped at the dealership. Well the stars aligned and I got this beautiful 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee for such an amazing price I couldn't pass it up.
And with me being a big giant nerd and loving superheroes and video games I had to make this Jeep my own so I put this on it within a week of owning it. For those of you that don't know what the emblem is, it is from one of my all time favorite games ever. Mass Effect
Now while things seemed to be looking up, My furnace decided it wanted to break.... Luckily I am pretty handy and can problem solve, I learned it was a thermocouple issue and only required a small clean up. Now I thought things would settle down a bit, but on black friday while I was showering the water stayed ice cold never getting hot. I check the pilot light on my water heater it is out, I try to restart it a few times and nothing so a quick search online and the possible issue is the thermocouple on this is bad. For F sakes right... Mind you I have zero experience working with any of these types of appliances but with being practical and figuring things out I got the old thermocouple out and sure enough it was the problem but needed to be replaced. Worst day ever on black friday to try and run to home depot real quick to get a new part. Anyways got that fixed now lets hope the rest of the year is uneventful. Again this isn't a pity post but it shows that even when life kicks us down we get back up and keep trying.
I continue to push and grow stronger physically and mentally, not letting life get me down and if it does. I don't let it get me down for long. On the plus side I was finally able to upgrade my computer monitor to this beast.
49 inches of glory, but this monitor was also purchased to help me with my music production and not just playing games on it. If you took the time to read this post, I greatly appreciate you, and thank you for taking your time out of your day. Stay strong, Stay beautiful all you wonderful people. Much love :)
