I hear ya. i had the same problem a couple months back w/depression and drinking and all that. Once I started feeling like i needed to drink it just wasn't fun anymore. I think what your doing is great and your friends probably just dont think you ever had a problem and that's why they dont take you seriously. i dont think they were trying to disrespect you or anything like that.
