i started reading pattern recognition for the second time last night. i forgot what a cool book it is. it's the only william gibson book i've read so far. i also own neuromancer, but only made it halfway through that one. by nature i'm a fast reader, but i have to take my time with his books. if you've never read any of his stuff, it's kind of sci-fi (which i don't normally like). but, it also has a cool techie geek vibe to it, which i do enjoy.
probably what i'll re-read between the two is masters of deception. it's a true account of these early day hackers and phone phreakers who take on the phone company, pretty much by accident. it's an easy and totally worthwhile read if anyone is interested.
i need some new books. i re-read a lot but soon i'll feel that desire for something new. i usually end up buying something crappy and chick-lit when i go to the bookstore these days. they figured out how to lure me in with the shiny covers. t says he can pic out books i will like by the cover. it's not that i don't like reading fluff books, it's that they make me feel slutty and lazy. it's like i'm cheating on all the good books. ah well, no ones perfect. and it's my birthday week. so there.

this is why they've made the following...
a) cliffnotes
b) movies
c) gossip
think about it, that's really all you need.
