I finally got off that rig. We were stranded out there for 4 extra days because of the tropical storm in the gulf. It was right on top of us! No helicopters could get in there to get us out. We had an opportunity to ride a boat in but fuck that, it would have been an 18 hours boat ride in 20ft. seas. I would have been puking my guts out the whole time. Plus the dock we should have gone to was flooded out so they would have sen us to Galveston. That's a 7 hour drive on top of the 18 hour boat ride. I wasn't having that shit! I made it back tho.
