Sometimes the world just cracks my shit up. There's so much that's real... and it will be sold anyway. Consumerism is cheap, but then I pay for SG membership and the right comic book. I watch the shows that I think are brilliant, but they have ads just like <i>Touched by an Angel</i> does. I think I like cute pierced girls, but the pictures of them naked are sold to me... Grr.

It all goes back to the defining elements of individuality in a capitalist society... you are what you buy. I like organic farming, so I buy organic foods. I like the Simpsons, so I buy simpsons figures. I like Roman DIrge & Warren Ellis. I like this book or that shirt or some brand of tofu. So I buy it and I vote for that society. I vote for the tofu world everytime I eat tofu or feed it to my son.

And the world cracks me up because I laugh at it and I laugh with it. I laugh at it because the world eats at McDonald's, shops at WallMart and supports a war that will bite them on the ass. I laugh with it because we can read Roman Dirge and go to the Oregon Country Fair together. And kids ogle my car in wonder while their parents fear it. Fearing Daisy. Ha! Lovingt Daisy. HaHa!
