My honey and my son have been away all weekend camping, and I am BLOODY BORED. I never realized how much they entertain me. I've had several little panick attacks thinking "oh my gods, where's Sebastian?!?!" and then I remember he's not in the house and I don't have to check on him every couple of minutes.
Went for a walk this morning up to the Belmont branch library (convienently located NOT on Belmont) to drop off overdue books, and then over to Powells on Hawthorne to buy a used book I've been coveting. It was nice to get out of the house. I remembered that when I'm uncomfortable, I like to buy myself something - such a slave to capitalism - and today, it was a comic book.
Last night I stayed up late reading stories on a True Crime website. I got really spooked out - the house was empty - and I was scared like a little kid who thinks there's something in their closet. Took tranquilizers to get to sleep. Wanna be really freaked out? Look up Mary Bell. Just the thought of a psychopathic ten year old girl giggling and rubbing her hands together while her victim's toddler-sized casket goes past - yah, read that when you're all alone in the house at 1:30 in the morning.
