My addiction to the show Rockstar INXS is thriving. For those of you who have better things to do with your time then watch reality TV here is the idea of the show. The rock group INXS is looking for a new lead singer. Now, I realize, most of the "kids" on this site weren't old enough to appreciate INXS at their peak and I even venture to say some may not even know who they are, however, since quite a few of you on my friends list are geezers like me, I expect most of you to be well aware who INXS is. I was never a HUGE fan of their music, but I knew a lot of their stuff. The winner of the show will be the new lead singer, produce a new album and go on a world tour with the group. Every week the contestants perform a song, america votes, the bottom three each week perform an INXS song, and the members of INXS get to choose (of the bottom 3) who goes home. It is down to 8 contestants.
This week, INXS chose the song each contestant had to perform. A song that would vocally and artistically challenge the singer. One of my favorites, Marty, was given Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears!! He was freakin' out about it. Last night he performed it and KICKED ALL KINDS OF ASS!!!
