My day took a different turn musically than originally anticipated. while at Best Buy to purchase Tori i stumbled across
feeling my heartland roots today and jammin' to my fellow Hoosier. WOW, i've revisited high school where i did a pom routine to R.O.C.K. in the USA and college where i used to drive by his house all the time hoping to get a glimpse of the man. i did meet his wife, his third wife, she came into the gift shop where i worked while in college and bought a baby album, she was pregnant at the time. Stunningly beautiful woman and extremely sweet and polite. today, while the sun was shining and the temperature hit the low 70's i had the windows down in my car and was singin' at the top of my lungs. he is an amazing storyteller and so true to his roots. Thank goodness he didn't become a sell out...he came dangerously close, but stayed true to himself in the end. Damn he rocks!!!!
*SWOON*
there is something to be said about growing up in a small town. not that i am a world traveler or anything, or even that i've lived in a lot of places, but i am proud of my small town upbringing. sure, as soon as i could i got out. and i enjoyed experiencing "big city" living. but i feel growing up as i did kept me grounded when confronted with what the "big world" had to offer. one benefit to living in a city is the opportunity to meet people from all over the country, and world, with many different backgrounds. and i've found it's true what "they" say, midwest folks are just damn nice people. i'm glad i'm one of them
it's BUNCO night i'm ready to win BIG MONEY!! *giggle* at least it gets me out of the house and i get to drink AND i'm wearing SG swag tonight Catie is comin' out of the closet as a porn site dwelling, online journal keepin' kinda chick...hmmmmm wonder how the "ladies" will take it
*giggle* who cares!!
