Well an early update. Last night my poor man left my place at midnight and decided to make the 5 hour trek back home doubled over with stomach pain. We think he may have had food poisoning but weren't sure and the though that he might need to go to the hospital in a country where he has no insurance was even scarier. So despite a few tears on my end and fear of dissapointment on his end he left. We spent most of the night calling each other back and forth, me making sure he was still ok on the road and him reporting back to me that he was still ok on the road. We're going to have our special romantic weekend next weekend and probably go to a B&B somewhere in Maine and be together again. I was really worried about him being in so much pain and despite my feeble attempts to nurse him back to health there was little I could do besides rub his back and put cold washclothes on his forehead. He seemed to be doing a bit better when he got home around 5:30 am but was utterly exhausted.
However the day we did spend together was really lovely. We had a great breakfast then lounged around. Then had lunch at an italian restaurant (where I think the source of the stomach pain/food poisoning stemmed from) Spaggio's in Laval..do not eat the chicken parmesan!! I had an amazing italian salad though. After lunch we were on our way to see Batman Begins until my boyfriend decided I was going to drive his monster of a Jeep! So we parked us in an empty parking lot and well ladies and gents, Cathedra drove a massive Jeep Grand Cherokee with grace and ease. I even parked it! Hee hee. Well after the driving lesson we saw the movie which was great! Then we picked up a frozen whole wheat crust pizza and watched the Dave Shapell (sp?) comedy show. After supper is when his pain started to worsen. My poor sweet man, the thought of him driving all that way in pain just killed me. Well I went for breakfast with my mom at like 6:30 this morning because quite frankly I was just so tired that I wasn't tired anymore. So we had a nice breakfast, I crashed at their place when I brought her back and 5 hours later woke up and drove home. SO that's my pre-weekend in a nutshell. I'm still looking forward to next weekend, really looking forward to next weekend. And I love him.
