I had an 80 minute massage this morning. My massage therapist is a goddess. She worked some kind of magic around my shoulders and lower back where the muscles started freaking out and then WOOSH...I felt something flow out of them. Weirdest feeling. Then she did movements with my neck where I couldn't flex a single muscle. This was so hard for me to do, she had to start over twice because depite me wanting to let go, my body didn't listen to my brain. The only way I could do it, (and i kid you not) was to keep repeating in my head "let her do it, let her do it, let her do it". I fucking LOVE when I have a new experience that freaks me out like that. It makes me feel alive!
After the massage I went hard core grocery shopping for the thanksgiving meal I invited my parents and brother over for tomorrow. Though smarty pants me forgot that it take more than a couple of hours to defrost a huge turkey, sooooo I bought ducks instead.
On the way home I decided to finally buy that damn cage that I wanted for Oliver my African Grey. (see birds pic folder) My parents have been taking care of him since I moved out (which freaked him out totally) and they have been playing yoyo with the emotional guilt trips about when I'm going to take him. So I did an impulsive decision and bought a huge parrot cage for 500$ which will be delivered tomorrow. When I told my mom about this, she thought it was all so sudden and didn't sound as happy as I expected. Now that i'm finally doing what i've come to feel guilty for, for not doing, she's all weird about him not living with them anymore. She kept saying how much they are going to miss him. Well.....can't win can I? Anyways if all goes as I planned he should be here on Monday.
When I came home from cage and grocery shopping my neighbour from downstairs (not the guy, this was one of the girls) buzzed me if I wanted to go have supper with her. I said sure and figured we'd go somewhere within walking distance. Well we ended up way downtown at this teeny tiny Portuguese restaurant. I adore spontaneous things like that!
Well here I am, I just finished watching Secretary. Wow, great movie. Ugh I have such a headache though...*sigh* hope my ducks turn out tomorrow. *nerrrrrves*
