It's Friday! Today after work I go to see my stylist, and hope to come out with really nice hair. I went to see Farenheit 9/11 last night. The first half of the movie was good..imformative, laughed a bit, but when the screen went black and the sounds of September 11th filled the cinema I swear waves and waves of goosebumps passed over my body and tears welled up in my eyes.
I realised at that moment that I had put the images, the fear, the pain in a safe place at the back of my mind. And only at that moment had it all come back out after those years. No I wasn't in NYC when the planes hit, and I don't know anyone directly that died during that day. But i firmly belieive that all living creatures on the planet share a kind of
invisible bond. I think that to be human is to be able to share another person's joy and pain regardless if you know them or not. That's why it feels good to do kind acts for strangers, because it's almost as we are doing kind things for our family members. We have one major aspect in common with the people around us, we are alive at this moment in time together. My life influences hundreds of people every day and I'll never even know it, as does everyone else's to my life.
I think it's sick and evil what Bush did and is still doing to the USA, Irak, and the rest of the world.
Yeah so here I sit at my desk in my little office in my little city in Canada. I'm gonna drink my coffee that was brewed by a woman at Tim Hortons, with beans that were picked by some person in South America and flown up to Canada by some other person, and roasted and packaged and etc etc etc. You see how other people's lives affect yours whether you realise it or not. Be nice to someone today, for absolutely now other reason than you can.
