well, i'm not sure if melatonin works or not. i think the key is not even touching the SG boards at night. it gets me off of here at a decent time that way. i'm not getting to my computer until 8 or so in the evening. then after checking e-mail and the news i get to SG so late i can't possibly get through everything i want to read in a reasonable amount of time. i'd give up the news, but since i don't read the paper or watch tv, the internet is really my source for current events. ah well...
made a fairly yummy batch of turkey chili tonight. should be better tomorrow.
was re-reading a quote from Jennifer Terran:
Doesn't it seem like some of the most beautiful things come from dark, sad places? It's one of the great paradoxes of life.
it seems to me that the music and writing that means the most to us touches our pain, our despair, our fears. when was the last time a song connected with your happiness so much it made you cry? when was the last time a song connected with your suffering so much it made you cry?

That is the beauty of melatonin, it doesn't force sleep on you.
That Terran quote on my journal made me like her a whole lot more. When i downloaded a couple of her songs they sounded a bit too tori-ish for me, but maybe i'll get a cd and try it out anyway.
