I received a few bits of bad new yesterday:
1. My first choice, University of Oregon, rejected me. I haven't gotten the actually letter yet but on the website it says Status: Not Accepted. I knew I wouldn't be accepted since they require GRE scores and my GRE scores are crap, but it was still depressing.
2. My cousin, Abby, is addicted to ice. It's been going on for nearly a year, but my aunt just told my mom yesterday. Apparantly, she is alternating between living out of her car and living with her drug-dealer boyfriend. It's so weird--I have a few cousins I would expect that sort of thing from, but certainly not her.
These things left me in a bad mood yesterday, but, oddly enough, I woke up in a good mood today. Then I went back to sleep. When I woke up again I was still in a good mood, only with that too-much-sleep feeling. I have yet to accomplish anything, although I have read a few articles for the paper I have to write. I am so behind in my class. It's almost like I'm trying not to graduate. Well, hey, if I don't graduate, then it won't be such a problem if I don't get into any of the grad schools I applied to, right?
