Life continues to go drunkenly. Elliot and Iro are back from the break, so it was good to see them again, amonst others. Had another awesome night out yesterday. Anti Nazi rally this Thursday and Catch 22 and SB6 this Sunday! Assignments continue to go undone.
Bumped into my friend and lecturer, Jen, in town yesterday. She was off to buy a cat flap in preperation for a visit to the rescue centre. We went to the pet shop in the indoor market and things in there were awful. There are tonnes of cages with too many birds in them. There are 3 tiny cages with 3 massive unmoving rabbits in each. The creature I took pity on was a Russian hamster. It was the runt of the litter and was blind and missing an ear. The others kept attacking it. I just wanted to take Jeff home (I called it Jeff) and give it a peaceful end of days. It would have had a warm bed and a big ball to run around the house in. But, alas, uni accomadation rules prevented the liberation...
Besides I don't want to give money to the shop owner to perpetuate cruelity.
Don't get me wrong he seemed nice enough, but he really should treat the animals better.
So anyway, I called the RSPCA this morning and discovered that someone else had already reported the same shop this morning and that they were investigating! Hmmm. Wonder who that was? (Spoke to Jen immeaditely and my suspicions were confirmed) Go team!
I hope Jeff goes to a rescue centre and someone gives him a good life.
