so i guess when they were going through to start cleaning up after the weird people that moved out of the apartment thing a few doors down, the maintenance guy saw a mouse. for some reason this gives the manager and my mom the idea that taking our cat down there to hunt down the mouse would be the easiest way to get out of it.

all the cat did was frantically wander around the empty apartment making the most pathetic noises in the world. it was simultaneously pitiful and hilarious. and he didn't even make up for it by finding anything to prey on.
