I need to get back in the habit of doing this everyday.
JJOB: So I got a new job as a nanny for VERY rich folk in North County. Holy Crap. The more contact I have with rich people, the less I want to be one. That's ok. I'm hoping to only have to do it for a little while. Not that I don't like it it's just that I'd rather make my living making
ART: Oh delight of delights, I have an art show coming up at a REAL gallery. Holy shit, I am so over the moon about this. Please if you are in San Diego, please come. Ok, it's not MY show. I have two paintings in it, but it's a COOL as fuck place. You don't have to be a hip alt-outsider to feel comfortable looking at the paintings, and unlike a lot of artists, they're pretty friendly there. There's nothing I hate more than taking time out to enjoy someone's work and get there, and the artist is there and they're unpleasant.
Anyway:
YAY!!!!! SO I have to find the time to paint between work and
SCHOOL: Yep, still there. Health and two Child Development classes. It sounds more boring than it is. Health is like being back in Middle School all over again. Of course we've only covered sex and psychoactive drugs. Maybe that's why. Child Literature and Language development is cool because it's all about children's books, which is one of my favorite things ever. I still love them. So I get to read them and write one. FUN!!! My other kid class is Youth, Family and Community. I wasn't looking forward to this one, but it has left me so frustrated with society that it has spawned
A BEAUTIFUL IDEA: which I can't reveal just yet. All I'll say is it's a soiciological study that will end in a grown-up book, a children's book, and hopefully grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities. And hopefully I won't die during the process. Hopefully. I'm so fucking excited.
