Rotten buttons.
I've tried to update a few times this week, and ended up hitting the wrong button, or the screen froze, or had to endure some other ridiculous technalogical mishap that put the kibosh on my entry. Whatever, I had very little to say anyway.
The nudie camp was fun, and thank you for all my happy birfday wishes! I *did* have a happy birthday. Good work, team! Aside from the massage I got that left me sore for days. That sucked a little. But yeah wandering around with all your junk out in the sun is good fun. Look ma, no tan lines! Although skinny dipping is not nearly as enthralling as I'd hoped it would be.
The week has been slow, due mainly to an ugly and painful staph infection behind my knee. Haven't been able to take the little one anywhere, so we were hermits most of the week. Stupid sneaky bacteria.
Today I'm deliberating whether or not to go get some custom work started. I still want my Ace...I've thought of ways to embellish it...I also want a pinstriped cat. Neat. I was talking to Snake last night, my only friend who has what'd I's call "a lot" of tattoos. He was telling me how the artists worked different designs into a sleeve, why bigger is better, and how his backpiece was done all in one night, and warned me away from thinking it's a good idea to get drilled on for 10+ hours.
He's so laid-back about his tattoos, which is how I'd like to be. He has a few that were freebies, where his artist said "you know, I've always wanted to tattoo this one someone..." And he'll say, "Sure, I'll take a free tattoo..."
So far I'm not like that. But that's only cause I don't have enough to be blase about it. I'm worried this one won't go with that one or I won't like the placement or I won't like the design but will get it anyway because artists are fragile and sometimes impatient people and I don't want to hurt their feelers. Which is stupid I know, because if I were designing something for someone (which I have), I'd be ok if they didn't end up getting it ( which has happened every time but once). OH! And remember my tirade about drawing the nurse angel that I was struggling with? She got it tattooed! I can't wait to see it! I'll post a picture as soon as I get one. How weird, the only tattoo I didn't have fun drawing is the first one anyone's gotten.
So basically I'm stalling.
OK, will update more later....and I know absolutely ZILCH about Lake Havasu. I have a feeling it MAY be in California, but I don't know. Anyone?
