Hi. It's wednesday already and i haven't updated from the weekend... but then my weekend's only just finishing.
saturday night - went out clubbing - got drunk.
then went to Leeds for the first time ever on Sunday, went out at night, got less than three hours sleep...
got up, looked around leeds... did some shopping...
[added pics of leeds... it's my own personal photo tour...]
then drove to Barrow...
Arrived in town centre and discovered:
1) my phone battery was about to die
2) I was very very tired (not safe to drive)
3) my friend who lives in Barrow, who i'd specifically come to see, had left Barrow while i was driving to see him [he had to go to hospital, so he's forgiven] and was now miles and miles away and i had nowhere to stay.
...so i found a hotel, got some food, crashed out and spent a surreal night in a place i had no reason to be in.
...next day, got up, drove six hours straight back home (still tired of driving, although i think it was the bright sunshine more than anything else) and then went speeddating.
[I went because my friend wanted to go and because i'd already paid and she'd literally kill me if i didn't turn up]
Met some nice people, talked until my jaw hurt, tried to keep my eyes open... and now it's wednesday and i have to go to work. It's a hard life.
Oh, and i saw a couple of films as well:
Kung Fu Hustle: 8/10 Really good kung fu comedy. I now like Stephen Chow. See if you can spot how many other films are referenced.
A lot like love: 7/10 typical chick flick, about how love is always at the wrong time, wrong place. I cried twice, but then, i'm soppy.
love, Cat
