First entry!
The rain is making grassy nooks look like perfect little forests. Each water drop sitting on a leaf makes me wish I were an insect. It's a good thing I don't have a digital camera; my hard drive would be full of wet weeds. I'm glad that the rain sounds lame on recordings too, so you have to wait for the real thing. Nature is a tease.
I'm still trying to work out a way to cast* jewelry as street performance. The idea is to set myself up on a tourist street like Market (SF) so that people can stop and make their own tin/silver rings. I want to work it so that someone can inscribe initials or whatever into a plaster mold. Then I cast the liquid metal into the mold. They walk away with an instant ring. It all works very well when I do it in my backyard, but it's crazy to use a propane torch on a crowded sidwalk. On the other hand, melting the metal is the part that's most fun to watch. What to do?
Christmas with family was worthwhile, as always. Most of them give very good hugs, and that says alot. A couple of them still need to understand why I don't give Christmas presents.
