It snowed for the first time today. Only for a half an hour. Nonetheless, I still hated it. Now there is no evidence of the inccident even occuring. The sun is out and the ground is still green but I can still remember the vision of pure white falling from the sky and the shutter it gave me. There's no stopping it now. There's no denying it. My mood will soon change with the weather and I have nothing to look forward to until February. To me, winter is the loneliest season and there are plenty of holidays covered in snow which will remind me of this.
Yesterday my mom and I went out to eat. And afterwards she took me to Barnes and Nobles and bought me a book. The Proud Highway by Hunter S. Thompson. So far, I love it. It's inspiring me to write. And it's a good thing I found a typewriter at the thrift store not too long ago because now I can type letters to the people I need to stay in touch with. I'll scan and copy them before I send them out and file them away until I find a use for them apart from keeping close ties.
My mom and I also went to the pet store for dog bones for the family dog, Kye, a adorable white Malti-poo. Not all white, I guess. There's spots of pink still on her from when I was bored and wanted her to take a bath with kool-aid. But that's another story. This story consists of a puppy whom I fell in love with. A min pincher jack russell terrier mix. A beautiful dog and seemed just the right size for me. Black with brown markings and on his belly he had white in the shape of a skeleton/rib cage. We played with him for awhile and I decided I would name him John Wayne. Or Duke for short. Unfortunately we did not get him. We had to talk it over with the man of the house first. But I'm still crossing my fingers.
Oh. Here's a bit of news that will interest you. When I logged in on here I noticed a preview picture for a second set on my page. It's called Houndstooth and the picture looks great. I'm very excited for everyone to see it. I've changed so much since the last set and I believe you'll be surprised. And it's a good thing I'm in the writing mood because I need to come up with an introduction for it. It's called Houndstooth because of my coat and I first bought the coat because I love Catcher in the Rye where Holden had a houndstooth coat. So I was thinking about putting a quote on my intro. But I'm still not sure about it.
Tomorrow is Friday. I only know this because my friend Butt says so. Other than that, my days run together very incoherently. Good thing I keep Butt around or else I wouldn't know what to do. Anyways. The reason he's so excited about Friday is because Anna is going to hang out with us.
No Jack Handy today, kids. Not really in the mood. I'll leave you with a couple Hunter S Thompson quotes from The Proud Highway instead. Then, I'm off to the bathtub where I will remain submerged in hot water until the season changes again.
"Love plans for tomorrow and loneliness thinks of yesterday."
AND
"A man who procrastinates in his choosing will inevitably have his choice made for him by circumstance."
