Ok, so first, hello to all of my new followers! As most of you probably know, my first set (Simplicity) came out 3 days ago!
I have been completely overwhelmed by the amount of support from every single person who has liked my set, commented on my set, and started following me. I really never imagined it would go over this well!
I'd like to give you all a little insight to who I am. So here is a quick recap of my journey, so far, with SuicideGirls!
Almost one year ago on October 19th 2014 I went to the Blackheart Burlesque Show in St. Louis for my birthday. Here is a picture of me before the show:
I had noticed that on girls from each city were being recruited to be SuicideGirls. So I got myself dolled up and went hoping that I might get noticed. I had the time of my life at the show! When she found out it was my birthday, @sunny came over and put her boobs in my face :) Throughout the whole show, I noticed a cute lady with dreads running around and picking up props. After the show I was waiting in line to get a jacket and I saw that cute lady sitting on the merch table. She was scanning the room and when her eyes landed on me, she jumped up and walked right up to me. The first thing @sunshine ever said to me was "You should be a SuicideGirl!" I was floored! We spoke about how to get this adventure started and she gave me her email to help me out along the way. I applied the next day and was accepted the following day! Then I had to figure out a shoot. I tried to do one with my friend who does photography, but he's not used to nude photoshoots and it just did not come out very well. This set was denied. Here's a little outtake from it:
I was pretty sad about that set not being accepted, but looking back it was not my best work I could've done. So after that, I got to thinking that maybe I should do my first set with a staff photographer. I saw that Sunshine was coming to Florida shortly after I was planning on moving there, so who better to shoot with than the lady who recruited me! Sunnie and I planned our first shoot for March 22. I was beyond nervous, but as soon as she got there and we started talking I felt so much better. This set because Simplicity:
I felt so good after that set! Sunnie is absolutely amazing and she is very encouraging. After that set I just couldn't wait for everything to get going, but I had to because when we finally uploaded the set and it was accepted, it had to sit in the cue for 4 months! But, Sunnie came back to Florida before it came out and we shot another set on July 14th! She held a small shootfest and I got to meet the beautiful @chrysis - Here's a little preview of my soon to be second set:
I can't wait to get this entire set back and upload it! This one will be a bit on the darker side as opposed to Simplicity, but I think you guys will like it:)
Coming soon: On November 6th I'm going to see the Blackhearts Burlesque show again, this time in Orlando!! Also, I have another shoot with Sunnie in December! AND I am hoping to make it to the Orlando shootfest next May that @lunara and @lilymai were so lovely to organize! I can't wait to see what other adventures SG takes me on.
