Summer, I love you.
Despite my allergies acting up recently, the weather's been amazing, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my free time with friends, family, spending days at work and nights and weekends out and about, money and time permitting.
Visited New York for a few days, stayed at the YMCA in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Greyhound ride was uncomfortable there and back, but the trip itself was a delight. My feet killed by the end of my trip. Walked A LOT. From SoHo/Noho, to Central Park back to battery park and to times square, financial district, meatpacking district, midtown, east village, downtown, and a bunch of other areas I can't bother to remember since I'm tired as fuck.
Even with all that traveling by foot for 3 days, I didn't get to experience the entire place to its fullest. Just the Manhattan Island was huge, so much variety in one little island, it's awesome. Would love to go back some time soon. I felt totally safe on the subway at 3:00AM and felt this was an enlightening experience.
Might look into job possibilities there through the bank since TD Bank (My employer) is expanding there like crazy.
So NYC was good fun.
In other news, many many friends of mine are back home from their respective universities, internships, travels and such, so I've been seeing lots of them. Had tons of photos to upload from my iPhone but, unfortunately I totally fucking broke my phone today when I went wakeboarding up north in the lakes of St-Marguerite and left my phone in my bathing suit while I went in the water totally drunk and stoned... stupid me.
That's the only downside to being back together with my friends; degenerate drug use due to peer pressure and overall debauchery when we're together... Whatever... my phone was acting all fucked up recently, I wanted to get a new one anyway.
So Gala is next week! I'm really excited to go! But unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm getting my Monday off for that week, so I might need to make my visit to Toronto a short one! Hopefully it'll still go down if everything goes well.
Lots more to tell, I'm sure, but I need to take a nap and figure out my situation for tonight so I'll be in touch soon.
Peace SG Land
