I never believed in the old world, apocalyptic wrath inducing gods of the bible or mythology. I was always more of a supernaturalist and anti-religious type... I have my childhood to thank for that.
What I strongly believe is that there is one thing, one entity that unifies all things, plants, planets, stars, insects, mammals, humans, weather, etc. I believe that this same entity is what started all life. For all you atheists out there, I refuse to believe that life and existence were the product of chaos and randomness, its just too illogical and irrational, and I'm a logical, rational man.
I'm not the first to have these ideas. George Lucas calls this entity "The Force". Agnostics call this entity "God" or a "Higher-Power", only not in the biblical context. Physicians believe that "Energy" is the entity that unifies all things.
As a child I used to ponder about this entity and made it my life long goal to find the "answer" behind this question. Many have tried and all have failed, but from their failures, we are able to get one step closer to the answer. This answer is what I think will be able to abolish wars, religions, presumptions, racism, sexism etc. It'll change the way we think of things, and will change the future generations, allowing them to think freely and without the bias of old world logic, dogmatic bullshit and egotistic selfish desire driven pursuits.
We've all been conditioned to think a certain way.
Lately I've been struggling with my usual conceptualization. I've been thinking about humanity more and more and more. One thing is for certain, humans are animals, we are just a species, but we're so freaking diverse from one and other and have so many more qualities and traits than other animal species do.
Yes, Yes, I know, its because we're evolved, etc. But what is it that led us to evolve? Sure Darwinism explains it to a certain extent... bipedalism, language, tool-usage... all very relevant to human evolution etc.
Shit, where was I going with all this? Oh yeah.
So I'm sitting in class, and I'm looking at everyone around me, and I think to myself, we're so evolved and yet so awkward at the same time. There are about 100 strangers in this room, we're all in our private spaces minding our business, too scared to get to know one and other. Why aren't we all just chillin? Why are we so close, yet so distant?
What do I do then? I make small talk with strangers. 80% of them look at you funny. I guess its because I'm crossing the "normal" line. Normal is subjective though.
The other 20% are responsive and make me feel like I'm not totally alone and crazy in this world.
So ultimately, the point I'm trying to make is that 80% of us are sheepish and similar to lemmings. I guess I'm asking people to break their introverted habits. I too was once an introvert, I've only made it an effort recently to change this though.
The world is becoming a shitty place these days, and its essential for us to start socializing with one and other in order to get to understand one and other a little bit better. If you keep on internalizing your thoughts and you don't voice them and get other people's opinions on matters, you'll be stuck in your head, you'll have one angle on a matter, and you won't know shit about anything other than yourself. Be cool, break your habits, get to know the unknown, be the better person and make small talk with a stranger.
If we do this, I feel we'll be one step closer to learning about the "entity".
