I was unaware of it when it happened and could not believe it. That evening I went out to dinner and told the waitress with the stick up her ass that she should be thankful that none of her family was there, and if that was not a good enough reason to be thankful. I then said that no matter what her problem was, the families of those victims had bigger problems and had a right to be unpleasant. She changed her attitude right away.
I remember it like it was yesterday. It's hard to forget. I watched it happen, the ashes grew thick on my street, 7 miles away from the explosion. I lost a family member, a dear one....and....
now I have tears in my eyes.
I'll never forget.
