Yesterday was my normal Wednesday off. I went down to San Luis to run some errands and swing by my Mom's house. I had just gotten off the freeway and was making my way down Madonna Road. Suddenly, I was pushing down on ye olde petrol pedal but my car was not accelerating. In fact it was decelerating rapidly. I got it off the road (Dalidio- on the park side- for those in the know) quickly. The car would turn over but not start.
Made a shitload of calls. Was pissed at myself because I left my Chilton guide at home (I ALWAYS have that thing in my car). Got pissed at myself because I don't have AAA. The first time the tow truck came out they loaded my car up and then had to put it back immediately to get a police department call. Sat around until they came back. Originally there was speculation that it was the fuel pump. Got the car towed to the mechanic. There was talk of the coil being bad- which it turned out to be. Actually it was the coil plus something else.
It's going to cost a little chunk of change- plus I was told I could "easily do it myself." I'd rather just have the mechanic do it. Plus, the car won't start so I'd have to get it towed to somewhere else to fix it.
Long story short: Didn't get shit done yesterday. Walked from one side of San Luis to the other. Got sunburned on my head. Am now paying way too much to have my distributor replaced (according to a friend). I still have no car.
Wah wah. Yesterday could have been FAR worse though.
UPDATE: My roommate is letting me drive the Beast. (his ol' S-10) until tomorrow. WHooo HOOOO! I have transportation!

See, Problem solved haha.
Car problems suck, because they come out of nowhere and is inconveniant, one time I blew up my engine in my truck and it sucked.
