First morning of actually learning how to do "Receiving" at F4L. Not that hard. Quite a bit to remember and can be chaotic. I guess Thursdays are always the busiest. Vendors just decend on receiving. You have to scan them all in and make sure their invoice totals match yours. If they don't you have to figure out why. All the while you need to make sure vendors are putting their pallets in the right spot and making room for them if you need too. It'll keep me busy- makes the time go by lightning fast.
The only reason I'm doing the receiving is because the other PIC was bitching too much about having to come in one day at six am and then one pm the next. Screws up your whole sleep schedule. I don't blame him for complaining (they just pile more and more stuff on for you to do too- that was another reason he was complaining). I'm sure I can handle it though. I'm an alumni of Central Coast Oil. I can handle ANYTHING, hah.I like working days much much more than nights anyway.
At lunch today I came home to a river flowing down the driveway. A valve for the "Premium Watering System" for our lawn had popped off. I had to shut off the water to the whole house and glue the valve back into place. Another hour and 15 until we can turn the water on again; And see if it pops off again. Whoooooo!!!
