Is it just me, or does this site strike anyone else as being a bit hollow.

I go to another page where I belong to a board. The people over there have intelligent informed opinions, are ready for a debate, and will generally pay attention to the other board members. Maybe it is a demographic issue. Maybe they are just older and more well read, and placing meaning on this place as being less substantive is stupid. But...

Here it seems like people talk just to hear how cool they sound. I can't count how many threads I've read where lots of mouths are flapping but no one is listening or responding intellegently. Or people *smooch* and make pining/cloying requests for someone to be their freind

Anyway, still like the site, just had to get my rant out for today.
