So, I just got some huge news. HUGE.

My dad, whom I have not heard from in years (drug issues, mental health issues) has resurfaced sort of.

My aunt got a phone call from an employee at a group home about him. I guess hes been clean and sober for 3 years, and is (and i quote) 'Living in a well. He is racked with so much guilt and shame over what he did (he trainwrecked pretty badly and visibly for a number of years) he does'nt feel he can ever make it right.' The caregiver didn't tell Dad she was calling, she just did, to try to open the door. She says he needs to take baby steps, because hes so fragile emotionally.

I'm so HAPPY that I might have a dad again. I don't know who he is all, what hes actually like when hes himself, if that makes any sense.

I cant wait to see him, its going to be a cryer for sure. The rest of his family is ready to take him back with open arms as well.

SO HAPPY.
